About Tiwa Sickle Cell Disease Foundation
We are a registered non-governmental organisation based in Nigeria. Our interventions are done in all regions of Nigeria, as there are sickle cell warriors in the entire 36 states of Nigeria. We support sickle cell warriors physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Mission Statement
To create awareness about sickle cell disease with the aim of reducing the birth rate of infants with the condition, stopping stigmatisation, and improving the health and wellbeing of people with this condition.
To help reduce malnutrition and stunted growth among people living with sickle cell disease, improve their health, growth, and development, and reduce their nutrition crisis.
To empower people with sickle cell disease and support them with their education so that they can be among the most noticeable people in the world and live a fulfilled life.
To improve the physical, mental, and social wellbeing and health of people with sickle cell disease in society.
Vision Statement
By 2030, there will be 2,000 sickle cell disease warriors who are employed or have a business of their own.
By 2030, 5,000 sickle cell warriors will be supported with their education and have noble professionals among them.
Support 20,000 students yearly with their educations and professions through relief packages, training, mentorship, scholarship, and educational materials.
Creating awareness about sickle cell disease through programs that reduce poverty rate and hunger, provide quality education, reduce inequality, improve health and wellbeing, and increase gender equality.
