Community Engagement

The community engagement program includes several key projects aimed at supporting individuals affected by sickle cell disease. Awareness campaigns focus on educating the community about the disease and its management, reducing stigma, and promoting early diagnosis and treatment.

The program organizes community town hall meetings, school-based awareness outreaches, and faith-based organization partnerships to reach diverse populations across Nigeria. These engagements provide platforms for community members to learn about sickle cell disease, ask questions, and access resources.

Support groups are established within communities, creating safe spaces for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease to share experiences, offer mutual support, and access information. These groups play a vital role in reducing isolation and improving mental health outcomes for warriors and their caregivers.

The foundation also collaborates with local leaders, traditional rulers, and community-based organizations to amplify awareness efforts and ensure that sickle cell education reaches even the most remote communities. Through these partnerships, the program has reached thousands of individuals across all 36 states of Nigeria.
